Lead Electrical Engineer Position

Our client, a UK-based start-up specializing in EV battery pack technology, is currently looking to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership as well as hands-on practical engineering, being responsible for:

  1. Evaluating design proposals
  2. Reviewing and critiquing electrical activities
  3. Reviewing risk assessments
  4. Using diagnostics tools
  5. Possessing fault-finding capability

The Lead Electrical Engineer will:

  • Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting, and Construction activities
  • Support in the delivery of electrical FMEA and electrical design validation activities
  • Check and sign all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, drawings, etc.
  • Produce methodologies/Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelines
  • Ensure project documentation is correctly managed, maintained, and released in accordance with company battery pack processes and procedures

The Lead Electrical Engineer will have:

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications HNC/HND/Degree
  • Knowledge of the battery industry and the ability to apply this in hands-on engineering and technical leadership
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with appropriate communications protocols
