Tool Room Engineer

We are looking for a Tool Room Engineer to join the team of a top injection moulding manufacturer. As a Tool Room Engineer, you will play a key role in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools, ensuring the plant's efficiency and safety.

Remit:

- Repair and maintain injection mould tools and understand technical drawings
Role:
- Ensure optimum performance and safe operation of all mould tools
- Carry out maintenance on all mould tools and fixtures
- Support Tool Room Manager with projects and provide shift cover if needed
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with health and safety procedures
- Attend training courses and follow quality system procedures
- Wear necessary protective equipment and adhere to health & safety policies
- Undertake assigned duties from management
Experience Requirements:
- Time served apprenticeship in tool making, machining, engineering
- Knowledge of injection mould tooling and processes
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, COSHH, etc.
- Basic Electrical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings
- Experience with overhead cranes and Forklift License advantageous
- Strong problem-solving, literacy, and communication skills
