About the role


The Emerging Talent (ET) team at Ocado recruits bold and ambitious graduates to our various schemes across the business to become our future Ocado superstars.

Our search continues for graduates from all disciplines and backgrounds to join us - we've recruited people with 160 different degrees from 87 different universities over the years.

We are currently recruiting across a variety of graduate schemes at Ocado Group including:
Business Management, Software Engineering, Engineering, UX, Finance and People.


As our Emerging Talent Programme Manager you will be responsible for our graduates, interns and placement population at Ocado Group.

Working closely with the ET recruitment team, hiring managers and coordinators you'll ensure our function is future-ready with diverse talent pipelines and the best-in-class onboarding process.


You'll oversee cohorts through their programme lifecycle including:

rotational changes, pastoral support, continuous learning and development, and the roll-off process into a substantive post within the business.


Key areas of responsibility:

Programme Design and Management

  • Support with the delivery of the Ocado Group's talent strategy by designing anddelivering a blended set of programmes that helps to meet future talent gaps acrossOcado Group Globally
  • Design and maintain an effective alumni programme for Ocado Group
  • Support with governance & policies of all graduate programmes
  • Responsible for accurate contractual documentation and clear expectation setting for all schemes process and rotation policies and partner with the business and People Partners to develop the principles for rotations on our graduate programmes
  • Provide pastoral care for emerging talent hires through the lifecycle of their programme through regular checkins, focus groups, etc, recommending improvements on programmes back to the business
  • Work with the Talent Management team to ensure all emerging talent hires have end of rotation/programme reviews and appraisals, talent mapping, learning plans and programme brochures to document learning, buddy / mentor schemes
  • Support with the L&D Curriculum for all graduate programmes, including personal development plans and ongoing training & development
  • Continually evaluate the success of placements and rotations to ensure they are fit for purpose, facilitating end of rotation moves and liaising with scheme owners on the performance of those on emerging talent programmes
  • Design and deliver the onboarding process for new emerging talent hires to includecommunication plans, insight days, induction, etc to ensure a smooth introduction totheir Ocado careers

Reporting and Insights

  • Develop a suite of reports for Senior Management, Stakeholders and People Partnersdemonstrating the success of the emerging talent programmes from attraction andrecruitment to post scheme roll off and ongoing progress
  • Work with the Reward team and Scheme Owners on annual salary benchmarking activityto ensure emerging talent programmes remain competitive in the market
  • Demonstrate the commerciality of all emerging talent programmes and the return oninvestment gained from them
  • Agree DE&I initiatives across all emerging talent programmes, monitoring and reportingour success against these initiatives

Team Management

  • Day to day management of graduates on rotation within the Emerging Talent Team
  • Day to day management of the Programme Advisor
  • Scheme ownership for the Business Management Programmes with regular checkins within this population

Other

About you

  • Previous experience of programme design and management
  • Proven experience working within the emerging talent space with a track record of recruitment and designing Graduate & Intern programmes
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels with tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrable ability to build successful relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable in delivering programme activities
  • Experience working with ATS tools and HRIS databases
  • Processdriven and methodical with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident with data reporting and strong analytical skills
