Out of School Practitioner

We are looking for an Out of School Care practitioner to join our team.


At Woodys club we offer a breakfast club before school, an after school club after school and a holiday club for school holidays.


We are looking for a practitioner to provide high quality care and play opportunities for children aged 5-12 years during these times.

The individual would work from 2-6pm Monday to Friday term time.

During the school holidays the individual would be expected to work with our holiday club in a varied capacity between the hours of 8am & 6pm Monday to Friday.


We also run a nursery and the individual would have overtime opportunities within the nursery setting to cover annual leave, sickness etc.

Have an HNC in Early Learning & Childcare, an SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) or an equivalent or higher relevant qualification in childcare or early years practice:


  • Be over 21 and able to drive (driving is essential for school pick ups):

Have a new and full PVG check carried out if they are successful:


  • Register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting the position if successful:
- _Provide high quality care and learning at all times_
- _Have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding & child protection_
- _Be able to/able to adapt to technology required to meet the job role_
- _Understand and be able to demonstrate best practice in a care setting_
- _Have practical skills for supporting and facilitating play by observing children's interests and developing needs_

- _Have a positive attitude towards work and duties_
- _Be flexible and reliable_
- _Be able to carryout daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a high quality environment_
- _Be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate professionalism_
