Do you have a passion for inspiring children through meaningful and productive play during lunchtimes? Do you want to make a difference to the mental, health and wellbeing of children, providing positive experiences at lunchtime?
This is an exciting time to join the Ridgeway team; our staff team are supportive of each other, fun, vibrant and dedicated to collaboration.
Together, we provide our children with rich, memorable experiences and high quality learning opportunities, within the classroom but also during playtimes and lunchtimes.
We are looking for an OPAL Play Team Coordinator who:
- will be outside every lunchtime to plan, set up and support the children in ready, respectful and safe play, in line with the Play Policy and Risk Assessments
- actively researches, sources and provides a diverse range of playable resources that are accessible to all children, including those with Special Education Needs and Disabilities
- communicates effectively with children to ensure their views of taken in account when developing future plans
- will help to train and support other members of the play team in the OPAL approach, and work with children to inspire amazing play throughout the school
- understands the power of play in supporting the social and behavioural development of children
- is solution driven and resilient
- can quickly forge excellent working relationships with the whole school community, including parents/carers
- can commit themselves through effort and teamwork
- attend regular OPAL Working Group meetings making a positive contribution to the strategic development of our lunchtime provision
