Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and hardworking individual to join our Play Team at Derby City Council. As a Play Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of our pupils during lunchtimes and playtimes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during the lunch period, ensuring their safety, welfare, and physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Arrange and supervise appropriate play and physical activities as part of the OPAL team.
  • Monitor the behaviour of pupils and report any incidents as appropriate.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, providing emotional support where necessary.
  • Ensure that all pupils who suffer any injury or accident are dealt with appropriately in accordance with the school's agreed procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proactive and hardworking individual with a passion for supporting children's wellbeing.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
