About the role:


This Secondary and Post-16 SEND school, based in Northumberland is looking to appoint a passionate SEND Secondary Support Assistant to work in Key Stage 3 and 4 classes on a full-time basis.

Working in this Secondary and Post-16 SEND school as part of an established team, the desired SEND Secondary Support Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties as well as Attachment and Trauma.

This full time SEND Secondary Support Assistant role is long term from April ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of SEND Secondary Support Assistant you will:

  • Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
