Are you a meticulous and experienced Pensions Administrator seeking a challenging role in the heart of London? We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team, providing critical day-to-day administration and communication services for our scheme members.
This role demands precision, up-to-date knowledge of pension legislation, and a proactive approach to ensure the smooth functioning of our pension schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday administration for active, deferred, and pensioner schemes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards
- Handle various administration tasks including AVCs, new joiners, optouts, executive support, data maintenance, transfers, retirements, and deathrelated processes
- Provide efficient support and accurate information to members through various channels (phone, online, inperson) within agreed timelines
- Collaborate with the team to execute scheme events such as Pension Increases and Benefit Statement production
- Manage autoenrolment processes and assist in resolving member and business queries.
- Develop specialised expertise in areas like divorce implementations and assist in training colleagues
- Stay updated with legislation, HMRC guidelines, scheme rules, and administrative processes
- Prepare and submit HMRC notifications and returns within specified timeframes
- Verify documentation and calculations in line with internal, actuarial, and legal guidance
- Maintain member data accuracy and handle data quality reports effectively
- Contribute to member communications and assist in delivering presentations
- Maintain filing systems and assist the Pensions Management Team as required
Requirements:
- Significant experience in both DB and DC pension administration.
- Uptodate knowledge of pension legislation, HMRC requirements, strong numeracy, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), IT proficiency, selfmotivation, and strong teamwork abilities
- Desirable: Detailed knowledge of PensionsOffice, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the office
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
- Maintain and update financial records, including budgeting and expense tracking
- Assist with financial planning and analysis
- Provide administrative support to staff members as needed
- Manage office supplies and equipment inventory
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Ensure the office is organized and running efficiently
Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred
- Knowledge of financial planning and financial services is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
