Senior Planner

We're seeking a Senior Planner to be part of our Design team located in the Liverpool/North of England area, reporting to our Major Projects Nuclear team in Speke.

Location: Liverpool, Speke

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - Opportunity for hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days on-site per week.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Planner, you'll work within the Nuclear Major Projects team, supporting a significant energy project focusing on nuclear grade reinforced concrete and infrastructure within one of the UK's largest projects. Initially focusing on a project until completion, you will then transition to additional nuclear projects within our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks business unit. The projects revolve around large-scale reinforced concrete construction, requiring expertise in this area, as well as extensive management of change and program creation under NEC contracts.

Your day-to-day tasks as a Senior Planner will involve:

  • Leading the planning for delivering an NEC Option C contract for constructing a reinforced concrete frame building.
  • Developing programs for acceptance, impact programs, weekly look-aheads, project control dashboards, reports, and program narratives.
  • Examining project metrics, particularly work rates, to ensure accurate tracking of key program dates displayed in project dashboards.
  • Assisting the commercial team in generating precise forecasts until project completion based on labor resources and materials forecasting.

What we seek in a Senior Planner:

This Senior Planner role suits you if you have:

  • Experience in UK NEC contract-based planning.
  • Familiarity with reinforced concrete frame building techniques.
  • Prior construction experience across various engineering projects, with a solid grasp of commercial and contractual aspects.
  • Ability to take charge and contribute to planning, programs, and risk from tender to project completion.
