We are hiring a Social Worker to join the Assessment Team at Peterborough Council
  • Part-time role: one week in three on-duty - office-based, other two weeks hybrid with children and families still requiring support.

18.5 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with children, young people, and families/carers to understand their needs, encourage participation in decision-making, and build effective relationships.
  2. Conduct assessments following statutory/regulatory standards, policies, and procedures to evaluate risks to children and young people.
  3. Develop, implement, and review interventions for children, young people, and families/carers following service standards and policies.
  4. Independently manage workload, seek assistance when needed, and propose solutions.

Applicants must be registered with the Social Work England (SWE).
