Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of an accurate, reliable and efficient payroll service to staff in accordance with payroll policies and procedures
- liaising with HR staff and the pension providers to provide the necessary information on starters, leavers and amendments to the payroll

  • Maintain accurate filing systems mainly computerised and some manual
  • Assist in monitoring & data handling of payroll data and deal with any matters arising
  • Assist with checking of all claim forms (mileage claims, overtime/sessional claims etc. and input forms onto payroll software (iTrent) for processing
  • Follow prescribed procedures within set timescales and to deadlines
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of the payroll policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft 36 but not essential
  • Strong excel skills
  • Knowledge of end to end payroll.
