About the role
We are currently looking for a Payroll Executive to join our dedicated Payroll team in the central Reading office. The role is full time and permanent.


You will be allocated your own portfolio of clients and will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of weekly and monthly payrolls including starters, leavers, personal changes, holiday pay and statutory payments.

You will be supported by the existing members of the payroll team and between you service in excess of 220 clients.

To be considered you will have a minimum of 3 years' payroll experience within a professional practice environment.

Knowledge of RTI and Auto Enrolment are essential as well as the ability to understand and break down payslips and re perform tax calculations manually.

Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional is preferable but not essential. Good time management skills are required as well excellent PC skills including excel and word.

  • Extensive experience in running payrolls from start to finish including all statutory calculations, RTI and year end. Experience of a multipayroll environment, or experience within professional practice an advantage.
  • Endtoend payroll processing, with working knowledge of autoenrolment, RTI and yearend procedures.
  • Dealing with multiple/complex payrolls.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients/HMRC.
  • You must be handson, proactive, with attention to detail, someone who can create a process and then drive it forward.
  • Strong team player.
  • Relevant payroll qualifications preferred (e.g., CIPP) bit not essential. Applications from those with good handson and relevant experience will also be welcomed.
  • Experience of IRIS Payroll Professional would be an advantage, training will be given.
