Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Bank/Casual Female Support Worker for a
role in one of our services in
Thurso.
In this role, you will support a lady with Downs Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, who lives at home with her dad.
She enjoys a daily picnic, going out on daytrips and spending time with her dad and brother, both of whom are very important to her.
The lady we support has a fear of dogs, so requires patience, compassion and reassurance from her staff.She prefers to go out into the community in the car due to her unease with dogs, so a
UK driving license is essential for this role.
We provide support from
9am - 9pm from Monday to Thursday. On weekends, we provide support from 9am - 9pm, as well as a sleepover on Friday and Saturday night.
Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010
