Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Scrabster, Caithness. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a gentleman with health and learning difficulties to live independently in his own home. You will work with a tailored care and support plan to meet his individual needs, providing support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered support to enable the individual to live independently
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication
  • Support the individual to engage in activities they enjoy, such as swimming, walking, and attending day centers
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure the individual's needs are met
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities is an advantage
  • Ability to work flexibly, including waking nights and weekends
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
