Specialist Caseworker

Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time

We are looking to recruit a Specialist Caseworker to join our established team, working in the Sexual Harassment and Violence Support Service (SHVSS) within Oxford University Welfare Services.

The Specialist caseworker (Accused Support) operates alongside, but separately to the support service for survivor students.

This role will offer guidance and support to students who have been accused of sexual misconduct such as violence and/or harassment.

For example, providing information on what to expect from college or university disciplinary processes, practical steps and signposting to relevant support.

The Specialist caseworker (Accused Support) offers non-judgmental, pro-active and non-directive guidance and support to students.

They will work alongside the student in a trauma-informed and confidential manner, identifying any support and welfare needs, exploring impact on the students' studies, assessing potential risk to the individual and the community, and safety planning.

The Specialist Caseworkers will be responsible for their own casework.

They will contribute to policies and the operational development of the service, deliver training, and develop a particular area of interest or need, alongside supporting the wider work of the Support Service within colleges, departments and external providers.

12 noon on Monday 21 August. Interviews for those shortlisted are expected to take place on

Wednesday 13 September.
