About the Role

Interested in joining a dedicated Rail team as a Development Manager in the dynamic environment of our Crewe depot? You will play a crucial role in engaging and meaningful work that impacts millions of lives.

The primary focus of this role involves overseeing the development of S&C renewals in the NW&C region, collaborating closely with various teams to ensure smooth operations within specified timelines.

Pooling expertise in rail infrastructure and renewals, the alliance strives to enhance efficiency and reliability in the railway sector through innovative approaches.

What You'll Be Doing

As the chosen candidate, you will:

  • Provide daily supervision to S&C track development engineers and supervisors;
  • Influence CD Track development to ensure optimal access and haulage planning;
  • Work with the Senior Asset Engineer to define renewal scopes;
  • Manage the planning and distribution of essential handover packs to the track delivery team;
  • Attend crucial meetings to ensure project alignment.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate possesses:

  • Proven experience in S&C track renewals within a management role;
  • Deep knowledge of S&C track systems and NWR Group standards;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project;
  • Competence in NROL and PPS systems;
  • Capable of managing teams and fostering development;
  • Commercial acumen;
  • Minimum HNC qualification in engineering or management;
  • Familiarity with North West, Central, and West Coast South routes.
