We are currently looking for an
Arb Team Leader to work across Liverpool and the North West of England.


The Team Leader will be working in a team of 3 undertaking all aspects of arboriculture work (including felling, pruning, crown lifting, reduction and thinning) alongside rail sites.


You will need to be both an accomplished climber and team leader; able to lead by example, motivate and mange a small team.

You must also have previous experience in a similar role, be conscious of the strict health and safety environment in which you are working and be a motivated, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.


Who are we looking for?


This role has a changeable shift pattern across days and nights, sometimes at short notice so you will need a flexible approach to your work as and when required.

  • Chainsaw Maintenance and crosscutting, 20
  • Felling Small trees up to 380mm, 20
  • Felling and Processing Medium Trees Over 380mm and up to 760mm, 30
  • Felling and Processing Large Trees Over 760mm, 30
  • Individual Windblown Trees, 30
  • Dealing with Interwoven Stems and Part Blown Trees, 30
  • Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue, 20
  • Using a chainsaw from a rope and harness, 20
  • Aerial Tree Pruning, 30
  • Aerial Tree Rigging, 30
  • Arboricultural Ground Worker, 20
  • Use of a Chainsaw from a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), 30
  • Powered Pole Pruner Maintenance and Operation, 20
  • Emergency tree work operations, 30
  • Assisted Felling, 30
  • Manually fed woodchipper operations
  • PTS
  • First Aid


In addition you will need the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with supervisory experience from a previous role.

You will need a full, valid driving license and knowledge of Latin plant names and their growth rates would also be a strong advantage.
