Key Responsibilities:

nLead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance Ruby on Rails applications.nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.nManage a team of software engineers, providing coaching, feedback, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.nOversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and maintenance.nDefine project timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.nProactively identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure successful project delivery.


Qualifications:

nExtensive experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of the Rails framework and ecosystem.nStrong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and experience with database design and optimisation.nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.nSolid understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
