About the role:
You'll be joining our Business Affairs team at MUBI, playing a central role in the execution of all distribution agreements, specifically for sales & production teams

You will focus on:


Supporting and advising on BA & legal matters, including:Drafting, negotiating and advising on licensing, distribution, acquisition, production, partnership agreements, internal documentation and templates across all departments, and all third-party agreements.

Supporting corporate matters, including HR issues and compliance.
Advising on compliance matters including Data Protection and Privacy for the PlatformProviding guidance on on customer support mattersAdvising on rights and IP issues in connection with the use of third-party content (music, stills, clips, marketing materials etc) and chain of title documentsAdvising on and managing contentious mattersSupporting the Legal and Business Affairs team with ad-hoc requests where neededManaging and drafting a high volume of contracts and queries with a fast turnaroundWorking cross-functionally with all MUBI teams (sales, licensing, acquisition, finance, HR, corporate, marketing, PR/communications)

What you will bring:

You are a qualified lawyerExperience in the film and/or TV industryExcellent drafting skills and the ability to work across a wide variety of contractsA highly-organised, resourceful and excellent communicatorStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritise work and meet tight deadlinesProactive problem-solverFlexibility to work on ad-hoc tasks and projects as requiredA collaborative team player who brings a positive energy to the teamConfident working with team members of varying levels of seniorityExcellent proficiency in EnglishResearch shows that men apply to jobs if they meet ~60% of criteria, but women and those in marginalised communities tend to apply only if they check all the boxes.
