  • Term time weekends:
Friday 2.30pm to 9.00pm and 9.00pm to 08.30am Saturday

Saturday 8.30am to 8.30pm and 8.30pm to 8.30am Sunday

Sunday 8.30am to 9.00pm and 8.30pm to 10.00am Monday

  • School holidays 8.30am to 8.30pm and 8.30pm to 8.30am
  • Shifts are days and waking nights
- £14.00 per hour for weekday waking hours
- £16.00 per hour for weekend waking hours

  • Double time for bank holidays
- £ £100.00 per week Team Leader Premium

Weekly shifts will consist of two days and two nights with the potential for overtime.

On behalf of our client, Head-First is recruiting an enthusiastic, motivated and highly skilled Team Leader to join a fantastic multi-disciplinary team.


The Support Worker team provides 24/7 2:1 care and support to a profoundly disabled 13-year-old boy with a brain injury who lives with his family in the Wanstead area.


Your role will enable our client to live in the community, maximising his rehabilitation potential, improving his quality of life and achieve desired goals.

He enjoys going for car journeys in the local community to provide stimulation, and has regular therapy sessions to promote his abilities.


His Support Workers play a key role in facilitating these experiences, as directed by his team of therapists and led by a Team Leader.

As part of your role, you will also be able to take part in his rehab sessions which will help to promote, improve and develop your own skills, experience and knowledge base.


You will also be responsible for ensuring that his team of Support Workers are kept fully up to date with ongoing rehabilitation and care needs.

Additionally, your role will include overseeing and managing the team of Support Workers.


The Team Leader is expected to take oversight of this, working collaboratively and closely with the Case Manager, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team as well as dealing with administrative tasks.

You will have full support from the Case Manager at all times. In return we can offer you a supportive work environment, full training and regular supervision.

  • Ability to manage a team of Support Workers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, as part of a team and on behalf of the client., who is unable to communicate his needs for himself.
  • Enthusiasm to support the client's participation in therapy and fun based activities at home.
  • Assist in reaching the client's specific goals as instructed and trained by the therapy team.
  • Up to date DBS at enhanced level paid for by the employer if you need to apply.
  • A full driving licence is desirable.
  • Previous Team Leader experience is preferred.
