Summary of Job


This is an unusual and rewarding role as it combines a production warehouse role with some social care elements of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and other mental health and physical needs who we call our 'trainees' in a workshop setting to complete commercial tasks.


This role focuses on the daily delivery side of production work for our commercial partners, fulfilling orders, answering queries, ensuring there are quality checks at all levels and receiving goods in and out.

It also includes warehousing responsibilities. All commercial work should be delivered to the highest possible standard and to the required timescale.

This job requires a hands-on approach, logical thinking, and the ability to understand and improve process. It also requires a good understanding of using IT.


As part of the role, you will be supporting our trainees help participate in workshop tasks and fulfilling daily orders for our clients.

It is important therefore that you have a positive approach to supporting people and to make a difference in the lives of the people around you.


Key Tasks
Production Management

  • Ensure all daily orders and other fulfilment requirements are completed and quality checked as per customers instructions. This will involve using several ecommerce and courier platforms which are very intuitive and easy to use. Full training will be given.
  • Communicate with commercial clients including answering queries
  • Communicate on a daily basis with other production team members to facilitate work and workloads.
  • Ensure health and safety and all other policies and procedures are adhered to within the workplace including the workshop.
  • Liaise with production manager on larger fulfilment requirements.
  • Completing all paperwork and communicating with clients regarding returns.
  • Ensure client databases and trackers are updated on a weekly basis.
  • Setting up larger fulfilment requirements from clients along with correct resources
  • Working to strict deadlines to make sure clients work is completed on time.
  • Complete all administration and records required for each client including completing goods in and out records, delivery notes, updating the job tracker, completing stock sheets etc.
  • Distributing work to workshop staff ensuring processes are adhered to and reporting on any issues. A daily record of jobs must be kept so everyone knows what is to be done.
  • Train staff and volunteers on the processes involved in the work to ensure consistency.
Warehouse Duties

  • Receive goods in and place in customer bays. Record and handle deliveries, hand balling or using the correct equipment when needed and ensure all delivered stock is

put in the correct client spaces.

  • Prepare goods out, label correctly and place in appropriate area.
  • Organise waste stillages for collection and ensure they are filled correctly
- maintain records.

  • Ensure health and safety is maintained in the warehouse at all times e.g. fire exits not blocked, safety shoes worn.
  • Tidy and maintain warehouse space.
  • Move goods in and out of the warehouse into the workshop for daily jobs.
  • Use correct lifting equipment at all times.
  • Maintain shredding area, keep tidy and remove any items which need discarding.
Additional Duties

  • You may also be asked to collect shredding on an adhoc basis using the company van and so a drivers license is desirable.
  • Adhere to and promote company policy and procedures and support trainees to do so.
  • Attend any training which is required as part of the post. E.g., health and safety.
  • Work flexibly as part of a small team of staff to ensure that Paperworks runs smoothly and efficiently; use initiative and contribute to team planning.
  • Work in a personcentred way.
  • Promote and uphold the privacy, dignity, rights, health and wellbeing of the individuals supported and cared for within the service.
  • Any other reasonable task commensurate with the post.
