Accounts Assistant/bookkeeper

We are a well-established family run business who has been trading for 20+ Years, our Bookkeeper who has been with us for 15 years is retiring in December and we are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to replace her.


Duties include:

  • Sales ledger
  • Purchase ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • VAT
  • Printing off reports, Balance sheet, P&L's and other reports for director
  • Wages for 40 employees this is to include pensions scheme.
  • Assisting the accountant with information for them to complete accounts.
  • Petty Cash and credit card entries


Some HR duties
  • Holiday forms, new employee start sheets etc

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Competent in Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Have a "can do" attitude.
  • Have a good work ethic and sense of initiative.
  • Have good time management and organisation.
  • Be able to undertake more than one task at a time.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have confidence in their own abilities.
  • Be comfortable sharing ideas and knowledge in group environment.
  • Be presentable and approachable.

Salary:
£13.00-£15.00 per hour
