Health and Safety Advisor (Fixed Term) based at Epworth House, Derby with Hybrid working from home.

Full time role - 37 hours per week (12 months Fixed Term)

  • MHA are recruiting for the role of Health & Safety Advisor, reporting to the Head of Risk Management and working as part of our highly skilled, but friendly Governance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to help shape the leadership and delivery of all our services across MHA and really make a difference in the lives of the people we support.
  • The role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week, based in Derby city centre, with the ability to work flexibly through a balance of home and office working.

About the Role

  • You will have particular responsibility for supporting managers to recognise and understand their health and safety responsibilities and obligations to enable MHA to provide a safe environment for all residents, staff, service users, visitors and others, and to ensure compliance with required safety standards across the organisation.

  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to help others understand the organisations health and safety obligations and how it impacts quality service delivery. You will be selfmotivated and able to work independently as well as working well as part of a team.
