Here are the details of the position:

Job title: Site Manager

Location: Birmingham, B33

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • CITB (SMSTS) Site Managers Safety Course
  • The position is full-time.
  • Working Arrangement: Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Payrate: £200 PAYE or 260 umbrella (CIS)
  • Must has some experience on EWI, window replacement, roofing works on high rise properties.

Role:

  • Previous Site experience
  • To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details
  • To report to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme
  • To ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects. Fully understand the company's SHEQ policy/strategy
  • Maintenance of company required Health & Safety procedures / initiatives, including: Use of PPE, Site Induction
  • Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments undertake a thorough review of all subcontractors RAMS to ensure they have identified all foreseeable risks and implemented suitable controls
  • Obtain all risk assessments from contractors
  • To obtain sub-contractors Health & Safety policies prior to their work commencement
  • Identify training needs
  • Maintain statutory registers, including accident reporting, Work Permits, Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections, In house audits / inspections
  • Site house keeping
  • Adherence to the Company quality standards including: Management of defects
  • Fully understand the Construction Phase Plan Requirements, including its development : Compliance with specification, Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules.
  • Subcontractor code of conduct
  • Considerate Constructors Scheme
  • Coordination / Leadership of the site team, inclusive of:
  • Assist with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
  • Maintain and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed
  • Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc
  • To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities
  • Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.
  • Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
