Logistics Planner - Ollerton

What you will be doing
Assess and allocate work requests from stakeholders in the transport manage software, ensuring an efficient distribution.

Efficient planning and organising of work requests to ensure work is carried safely, on time and in the most cost-effective way.

Maintain fleet schedules, including overseeing and maintaining accurate fleet schedules, optimising working hours for enhanced operational efficiency.
Monitor driver activities throughout the shift to ensure a smooth flow of operations and address any issues promptly.
Resolve customer and driver queries relating to work requests where relevant.

Ensure all required transport data and management information is prepared, maintained, and updated in accordance with the requirements of the company's transport management software.

Provide exemplary customer service in all communications, fostering positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Oversee established paper and computer-based filing systems to facilitate easy retrieval of essential documents.
Manage financial duties, including processing invoices and tracking costs, to contribute to budgetary control.
Collaborate with the SHES department to establish and promote bast practices in health, safety and environmental matters.
Ensure adherence to the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements and maintain safety standards.
Promptly report Health & Safety incidents following the Group's expectation for comprehensive reporting.
Uphold company standards of Quality in accordance with Quality System requirements.
Who we are looking for
Must have experience of HGV transport planning including abnormal loads.
Experience within the construction industry with knowledge of construction plant and equipment.
Ideally with experience of asset management software, route planning software, driver tachograph software
Microsoft SharePoint and/or fleet telematics
