This is an excellent opportunity to gain best practice experience covering all aspects of ICT whilst also incorporating people management, technical expertise, process, and project management.

These roles will encompass experience across multiple ICT technologies.

What you could be doing
As an ICT Graduate, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles which may include:

  • Experiencing all aspects of ICT across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support.
  • Gaining exposure to Information Security and the fundamental role it plays in protecting University data and users.
  • Working with software vendors and other service providers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the implementation and execution of the various University strategies, including the Digital Strategic Plan.
  • Engaging with our Business Partners and Stakeholders to scope initial requirement and supporting the preparation of business cases.
  • Supporting projects through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Taking ownership for the delivery of enterprise solutions to our users.
  • Support the implementation of new and advanced technologies to help drive efficiency and effectiveness.

What you need to apply

Eligible graduates will have:

  • Currently in your final year of your degree/masters or have graduated in the last two years.
  • A 2:1 degree in Information Technology or Computing Degree, Business Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A passion for Information Technology and the creativity to design and implement innovative solutions.
  • Great communication and listening skills and the ability to lead, influence and build strong working relationships with a diverse team of people.
  • The determination to take ownership of problems and solve them.
  • Strong analysis and decisionmaking skills.
  • Lots of confidence with a positive attitude, resilience and a drive to succeed.

What our 2-year scheme involves


You will start Year 1 as either a Junior DevOps Engineer or Assistant End User Device Engineer, progressing to DevOps Engineer or End User Device Engineer in Year 2 (please see jobs descriptions below).

Tackling a variety of work, you'll have the chance to develop your analytical, technical and team work skills.

You'll work across several functions, which could include Service Desk, Desktop Support, Endpoint Management, Infrastructure, Platforms and middleware and Professional & Academic services, while enjoying professionally recognised and certified training.

It's a fantastic way to get a deep understanding of enterprise solutions.
