About the role:

Where? The role is at our Cambridge Campus

Responsibilities - You will be responsible for:

  • Inspirational leadership in Art & Design. Reviewing the curriculum in line with industry feedback to make sure that it is contemporary, relevant and it is preparing the students for their next steps be that education or employment.
  • Leading by example and inspire the team to have high aspirations, strive for excellence and have a truly learner centred approach to delivering an outstanding educational experience
  • Implementing and monitoring robust and rigorous quality systems that meet the expectation of our college and also that of the awarding bodies.
  • Implementing quality assurance as Lead IV for the UAL awarding body, Level 1 through to Level 3 and Lead IV for BTEC HNC/D Art based programmes.
  • Organisation and management of the Learning Support Mentors and the team around the students with EHCPs in Art & Design.
Reporting manager - You will report to Sue Breeze, Head of Creative Industries.


Line management responsibility - you will be responsible for line managing a team of 19 staff made up of Lecturers, Technicians and Learning Support Mentors.

Does this role allow for some working from home? The role is face to face at the Cambridge Campus.

Skills and abilities? Strong leadership skills. Highly organised and experience of managing robust and rigorous quality systems and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, administrative and communication skills. Ability to cultivate good working relationships with colleagues.
