Role Purpose:

To support our retail division's growth by managing the end to end sales order process for UK and export retail customers in over 25 countries

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing and invoicing of our UK retail supermarket customers' EDI orders
  • Data input of non EDI manual orders, checking pricing and terms. Despatch and invoicing of orders along with associated communication with the warehouse and hauliers along with customers and our UK sales team
  • Data input of manual export orders, ensuring adherence to the incoterms and customs related requirements. Checking pricing, terms and stock availability. Despatch and invoicing of orders along with associated communication with the customer, our export sales team, hauliers and customs agents
  • Resolving customer queries
  • Daily assistance and holiday cover for other members within the sales order team including selecting and despatching product samples weighing up to 10kg
  • Answering incoming calls and dealing with general enquiries

Essential Criteria:

  • Commitment to delivering service of the highest quality to our customers
  • Minimum GSCE Grade C in English and Maths
  • Numerate and hands on use of Microsoft Office including spread sheets
  • Data input experience with high levels of accuracy
  • Knowledge of end to end sales order processes
  • Knowledge of incoterms and customs requirements would be useful

Personal Attributes:

  • Organised and methodical to manage multiple orders at the same time
  • Strong and proven ability to focus on the detail, adhere to process and on getting it right first time
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good team player with a willingness to help out
  • Practical knowledge of a European language would be advantageous
