Main Duties:

  • Lead and manage a diverse workforce, ensuring excellent care is delivered and operational performance is maintained
  • Continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers
  • Ensure quality and financial targets are met, and facilitate the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and service users, and also reflect market trends and evidencebased practice

  • Ensuring site is compliant with all Regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements.

Requirements of the Deputy Hospital Director:

  • An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential), together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care.
  • Experience within male forensic secure or male acute mental health inpatient services.
  • Extensive understanding of the Care Quality Commission standards and transforming care
  • Clear DBS
  • Strong commercial acumen, in order to support successful service delivery and development, people management, budget control, business development, and revenue generation.
  • An inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership, is a critical factor in the success of this role, in order to provide direction and implement change.
  • To be a proactive individual, with excellent administration and clinical skills, who will ensure the team delivers excellent personcentred care, helping each service users or patient enjoy the highest possible standards of life.
