Purpose of job As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in the Retail business performance, providing analysis and insight in order to enhance and support decision making across the Retail team. You'll use your knowledge,skills and experience to work across teams and sectors and contribute to the overall Strategy Plans, Budgets and Forecasts. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager - Retail, the role will be focused towards the Shopping Centre and Outlet portfolios.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Support the Commercial Finance Managers with key business performance analysis and metrics, including but not exclusive; investment lettings, in solicitors hand lettings and priority vacancy's
  • Manage the delivery of Asset P&L's and commentary to the Portfolio teams identify cost saving opportunities
  • Assist with the reforecasting of investment lettings, enhancing the current process and forecasting accuracy
  • Input into budgets, Strat Plan and forecasts as required and advanced user of OneStream planning tool
  • Own customer and lease appraisals for specific assets, including external credit checks
  • Support team with monthly and quarterly JV reporting deliverables
  • Build and sustain great relationships with Portfolio and Brand teams as well as the wider Finance team
  • Partnering closely with the Property and Capex Analyst within the team to develop Capital appraisal skills
  • Adhoc analysis and project support as required

Knowledge, experience and qualifications Essential:

  • Part qualified finance professional with +3 years finance experience
  • Experience of analysing, manipulating and presenting data and information
  • Previous Capex /property experience
  • Highly numerate
  • Financially astute with good understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles
  • Excellent report writing and presentation drafting skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Ability to communicate and influence different stakeholder groups, both internal and external

Desirable:

  • Experience in asset / investment activity
  • Experience of working in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of property management
  • Experience of OneStream finance planning tool
