We are pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to recruit one full time Senior Clinical Fellow position to join Head and Neck Surgical specialties. The post expected to start date is November 2024 for 12 months

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide care for both Head and Neck, Maxillofacial and ENT patients. The Rota allows the post holder to have the opportunity to gain significant Head and Neck Cancer experience including reconstructive free flap surgery (around eight major cases performed per month), facial trauma and aesthetic facial surgery.

Applicants will also be encouraged to participate in the extensive teaching, research, audit and service improvement within UCL collaboration projects around individual development requirements and the need of the service.

The on-call Rota is a full shift system to cover the Maxillofacial admissions,We encourage applications from individuals who are dual qualified doctors wishing to pursue a career in Head & Neck Surgery.

Professional Qualifications

Essential

oEligible for Full registration with GMC oEligible for full registration with GDC oBDS or equivalent dental qualification oMBBS or equivalent qualification oMRCS/FRCS or AFRCS or equivalent postgraduate diploma- Original certificates demonstrated at time of interview

Desirable

oFDS/FFD FCS or FDS/MFD RCS or equivalent

Clinical Experience

Essential

oA minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in maxillofacial surgery (FY1+2 competencies or equivalent oCompetence in clinical skills relevant to maxillo-facial training oExperience at SpR level or equivalent

Desirable

oExperience in other related specialties oATLS/APLS/ oALS or equivalent

Clinical Skills and Knowledge

Essential
