The main purpose of the post is to work closely with the Band 4 in supporting the senior Medical Education Team to develop all educational opportunities/activities in Medical Education.

To co-ordinate Medical Education, including learning provision for medical students, trainee doctors, trainers (Clinical and Educational Supervisors) in all specialties across the Trust.

This includes all aspects of administration including induction co-ordination, timetabling, room bookings, record keeping and general office management. A different working pattern may be required at peak times e.g. inductions and when medical students are on placement.


A key feature of this job is the ability to work flexibly to support external regulators requirements and the transformational and cultural change journey which is ongoing in the Trust.

To ensure that the Medical Education Department is effective and efficient this role and other roles in the department will be allocated portfolio work streams to meet the evolving needs of the department.

Maintain relevant records, ensuring accurate data input into all computerised systems.

Comply with Trust and legislative requirements for confidentiality.


Provide general administrative support for lead roles within the team and directorate including word processing, filing, photocopying, and diary management with meeting organisation.

Provide administrative support to meetings including minute taking, typing up of minutes and distribution.

Compose letters as required.

Request patient files, organise and present for cases to line manager for checking

Familiarisation with all functions within the team and support as required

Education

Undertake continuing professional development, including mandatory and statutory updating, maintaining a portfolio.

Participate in research, audit and surveys as required.
