About You:
We are looking for a passionate

Design Manager to cover a 12 month Maternity Cove r and lead the Nobody's child design team.

Joining a fast paced and high growth environment, you will play a critical role in driving the creative vision of our brand while managing the practical aspects of design production and execution.


You will be responsible for managing and inspiring the full design team of 9 designers including print across, leading on product and design for all product areas, working closely with the Buying and Design director and CEO.


Day to day, your responsibilities will include:


Responsible for a team of 9 designers with 5 direct reports, leading and guiding the team to build efficiencies and build a high quality range, setting the mood boards and stories for each season.nSet the overall creative direction for the design team, aligning it with the company's brand identity and target market.

This involves conceptualising new collections, defining themes, and establishing design guidelines and colour, print and fabric.nEnsure the team are updated on the latest fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market developments reacting quickly to new trends.

Using this knowledge to inform their design decisions and anticipate future trends.nCollaborate closely with other departments such as merchandising, marketing, and production to ensure that designs meet commercial objectives and production requirements.nResponsible for managing design budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and planning for upcoming collections or projects.nWorking with the head of technology to ensure that designs meet quality standards and are executed accurately, constantly striving to elevate the brand and quality.

This involves reviewing samples, providing feedback to designers, and making adjustments as necessary.nPresent design concepts, collections, and strategies to senior management, clients, and key stakeholders.nLiaise with suppliers to help build relationships and develop design capabilities, working with suppliers to gain feedback .nWorking with the sustainability team to develop new fabrics and processes to increase our sustainability credentialsnwork closely with the head of wholesale to land cohesive collections and key outfits for each drop for partner presentationsnManage travel and sourcing trips in line with the brand, regular meetings with vintage suppliers as well as own sourcing through shopping in the UK & abroad.

You'll come with around 8+ years of fashion design experience, and be experienced in leading and managing a team. You'll inspire creativity in everything that you do, have a commercial eye with responsibility and sustainability at the forefront.
