We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Integrated Mental Health team at HMP New Hall.

You will be motivated, dynamic and passionate about person-centred care for women in prison. You will be a competent practitioner in delivering care to women with complex needs as part of a multi-disciplinary team and also working autonomously across the prison

Hours

Shift patterns for this role are 8-6pm midweek and 9-5 weekends on a rota basis

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £46200 per annum depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients' mental health needs.
  • Supporting women with Complex MH needs
  • Assessing risk and developing evidencebased care plans
  • Demonstrating Traumainformed practice
  • Working collaboratively with patients, prison and community colleagues
  • Cofacilitating therapeutic group interventions

Qualifications required

  • Occupational therapist, Mental Health nurse or social worker
  • Current professional registration (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development including: DBT, CBT
  • Experience of multiagency working
  • Good understanding of clinical governance including mental health policy, quality and outcomes framework, NICE
  • Other therapeutic qualifications including holistic therapies are desirable
