Easel Peasel's provide art, craft, and slime sessions to primary school age children. We provide after school, home education sessions, weekend sessions, holiday club days and parties.

We are looking for someone to be responsible for running the sessions and be the workshop leader for our two studios in the Sheffield area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, is arty and outgoing and someone who is creative and has ideas they would like to bring to an already thriving small business.


Below are the key responsibilities and skills we are looking for.

  • To provide, after school club sessions, Saturday sessions, slime sessions, home school art sessions, holiday club day sessions and parties.
  • To lead Art and slime sessions to 5 to 12yearolds.
  • To Develop the club programme, design and plan ageappropriate activities and sessions that align with our objectives and target audience create a varied range of paintings in various mediums for the children to create where you deliver in a stepbystep approach with the children. (Guidance is provided and content can be provided, or you can create your own)
  • To be responsible for the wellbeing and safety of the children attending.
  • To be aware and responsible for health and safety within the sessions and the building.
  • To keep the building and materials clean and tidy. For your own sessions and for others coming in to do sessions.
  • To keep up to date with the stock levels, and materials needed.
  • To be the face of the business, to provide a fun, friendly, nurturing environment for the children to thrive and have fun.
  • To liaise with parents and carers.
  • To manage your own time and the team and their responsibilities.
  • To ensure that the high standards of Easel Peasel's are being met.
  • Retain high percentage of repeat attendees to sessions.
  • Bring ideas and work with the management team to help to grow and develop the business.
  • To be responsible for being a key holder and locking up shared workspaces.
  • To work in partnership with other businesses and neighbours to ensure that good relationships are being maintained.
  • Attend school and community fairs and events to promote Easel Peasels and any other marketing opportunities.
The Toddler session leader responsibilities include all the above and run from our studio at Aston Springs farm. The sessions are 1 hour and are a mix of painting, play and messy play. Creative sessions for all pre-school age children.

The role involves setting up, running the session, which is welcoming the parents and children and engaging them throughout and promoting our other sessions, also the set down and clean up from the session.

Utilising our outdoor mud kitchen space, planning engaging fun sessions.

The toddler sessions are across 4 days a week, and roughly between 10-14 hours within school hours. The job share split options are flexible. We can discuss further upon expression of interest.

The suitable person for this role must have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enjoy working with primary age children.
  • Great art and craft skills, Ability to follow pre planned content.
  • Be open to take on any training required.
  • Be organised, efficient, clean, and tidy.
  • Have excellent face to face personable skills.
  • Be able to develop relationships quickly.
  • Be able to provide a warm friendly welcome.
  • Deliver high energy sessions with a friendly personality.
  • To be able to work at multiple sites when needed.
  • Be selfmotivated and responsible.
  • To be able to manage and work with a small team of staff/ volunteers.
  • Liaise with management to share ideas, feedback, concerns or needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, and legal and regulatory standards and obligations.
The studio is closed Sundays and Mondays and the opportunity for overtime is available for parties/sessions on those days.
