The Role

The King's Foundation is looking for an experienced digital and social media specialist to join its growing Communications and Marketing function.

The post holder will lead the digital operation for the organisation and oversee a project to develop a new website for The King's Foundation.

In addition, the post holder will work with colleagues across all departments and the charity's multiple locations to devise a digital strategy, with the aim of raising awareness of the Foundation's work.

Key Tasks

Specific Duties will include:

Work closely with an external web agency and colleagues across the organisation to launch a new website for The King's Foundation.

Undertake a content review of the charity's existing website and social media channels.

Develop and implement a digital and social media strategy for the charity and monitor its success, working closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager.

Identify digital needs across the organisation and offer advice and direction on areas of focus and growth.
Undertake an audit and refresh of The King's Foundation's social media channels.

Capture and commission content for The King's Foundation website and social media channels, in tandem with an external media agency on occasion.

Work with colleagues to identify the best ways to showcase particular events and services offered by the Foundation across our website and social media.

Maintain strong lines of communication with colleagues working across different sites.
Person Specification
The essential skills, knowledge and experience required are:

At least six years' experience in a digital communications or social media role with a desire to lead and grow a new digital function for the charity.

Proven success designing and executing digital campaigns.
Excellent organisational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
Strong network of contacts of influencers and content creators.
Ability to build and sustain successful working relationships with stakeholders of all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A passionate self-starter who can bring enthusiasm and creativity to the role.
Some level of familiarity with WordPress.

Other:

The post is flexible in that the candidate could be based at any of our King's Foundation locations in London, Dumfries House or Gloucestershire, to be discussed with the candidate.

The post will be flexible in terms of remote working and working from home.
Your working hours will be full-time.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
