ICDS is currently recruiting Plant Operators for a Canadian based civils construction company. The work will be in the Alberta region of Canada, with a variety of shifts available.

PLEASE NOTE:

The proposed start date will be from February but interviews will be taking place from January 2023.

Details For Work:

  • Types of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader, Bulldozer, large or small, Grader
  • On the road job: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee
  • Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Operate computer controlled equipment, Complete onboard and other logs, Conduct preoperational checks on equipment, Prepare accident reports, Secure special attachments to equipment, Operator GPD (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Operate twoway radios and other communication equipment, Operator hydraulic pumping systems
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Fastpaced environment, Overtime required
  • 50 hours per week, with plenty of overtime available
  • Must have at least 3 years Plant Operator experience
  • Must have COSHH Certificate/Training
  • Must have a Construction Safety Training Services (CSTS)
  • Must have Ground Disturbance Level
  • Area of work experience: Backfilling, Ditching, Excavation, Rough grading, Sloping and banking, Stripping, Subgrade excavator, Trenching
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Driving record check (abstract), Drug & alcohol test may be required
