We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and skilled individual to join the Grounds Maintenance Team, to lead a team of gardeners and grounds persons

  • Essential Skills: Formal Qualification in a Horticultural or Sports Turf Related field to HND/ND/RHS level 3 standard
  • Significant Experience Working within a Parks & Green Open Space Environment
  • Full UK Driving License
  • PA1/PA6

About the role:

  • Be responsible for the management and supervision of the gardeners and ground persons within the park
  • Ensure high horticultural and sports turf standards are maintained throughout the seasons
  • Engage and work with friends' groups, Council partners and stakeholders to ensure Stanley Park is a welcoming and pleasant green open space for members of the community
  • Monday to Friday role 39 hours per week
  • Flexible variations of working pattern to suit seasonal variations and home life
  • 26 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
