About the role
The Opportunity


We are seeking highly motivated individuals with the skills, knowledge, and aptitude to lead, champion and deliver outstanding service support within Children's Social Care.

Within the Systemic Clinical Service and Workforce Development Team.


Experienced in Children's Social Care business administration you will bring your energy, drive, and leadership to create a flexible, agile, and improving support service that will free up practitioners and managers from administrative functions where direct time with Children, Young People and Families comes first.


Your creativity, innovation and collaboration will enable effective implementation of best practice and service standards with an ability to build and sustain effective working relationships within the practice system and across the partnership.

About You
We are looking for a confident individual, who also has:

  • Knowledge of common service support systems used throughout the council.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the customers' service support requirements.
  • Knowledge of national legislation, policies, standards, and initiatives relevant to this role within a local government environment. Delivering customer service expertise
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of a large team to meet deadlines in a fastchanging environment.
  • A clear appreciation of the demands of working within a multiple stakeholder, fastpaced, highly political environment.
  • Ability to work in a large complex, political organisation and to understand and operate within national and local frameworks of accountability.

Must have experience of working within social care and sound knowledge of administration at a senior level.
