We are looking for a skilled finance professional to join our finance team as a Management Accountant, working closely with entities in our group to enhance their financial processes.
Role:
Management Accountant
Location:
Formby, Liverpool
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm
Salary:
up to £35,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conducting monthly financial analysis, offering insights into key performance indicators and financial trends to support decision-making
- Producing a monthly pack of management accounts with relevant commentary, including a consolidated P&L for key reporting details
- Collaborating with entities within the Acorn Group to develop and manage budgets and forecasts
- Engaging with business heads to report results, discuss outcomes, and analyze variances against budgets
- Analyzing income and expenditure, ensuring accurate recordings
- Managing the full fixed asset register and ensuring consistency with the Rapid Vehicle stock list report
- Providing meaningful management information and reconciling the balance sheet monthly
- Handling accruals, prepayments analysis, and creditor and debtor reporting
- Producing a monthly capclean report and managing the depreciation costs
- Assisting with quarterly ONS surveys, VAT returns, and statutory audits
Requirements:
- Team player who fosters a stable and friendly team environment
- Adaptable and thrives in dynamic environments
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Previous experience in accountancy
- QBE or actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA
