Supply Chain Planner

Location -Leeds

Salary- £17.95 per hour depending upon experience

Contract until the end of May 2025

Hours - Working hours are Monday-Friday 7.5 hours per day between 8 am and 6 pm

Hybrid - At the start of the assignment 3 days per week in the office and later 2 days per week in the office.

Our client delivers reliable power systems used in critical applications globally. Whether for data centres, on rugged job sites such as oil and gas fields or as backup power for our homes, our client's technologies are trusted around the world. They are looking for two Supply Chain Planners to join their team on a contract basis working full-time to support the creation of a master production schedule and material plan needed to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand.

Responsibilities for the role of the Supply Chain Planner

  • Use common processes tools, and information systems in the execution of role
  • Analyse and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Execute the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
  • Identify potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks
  • Work closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short-term tactical improvements.

Skills and Experience for the Role of the Supply Chain Planner

  • Must be highly proficient in the use of Excel
  • A high standard of communication is essential for the role
  • Must be numerically capable
  • Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Taking a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens
  • We're looking for someone who is a quick learner who can work independently and can adapt on the fly
  • Experience with Oracle would be an advantage, as well as a first experience in an analytical role
  • Experience in Supply Chain is not mandatory but would be a big plus, experience in the automotive sector is not required
  • For this role, we will also be considering junior profiles, graduates, and ex-placement students
