If so, we are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Head of Engagement and Programming at the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust (UKAHT).

In this new and exciting permanent position, you'll be at the forefront of captivating audiences worldwide with the remarkable history of Antarctica. We want to deepen public engagement and reach a diverse audience, with a focus on creating impactful experiences for young people. The UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is dedicated to preserving and promoting the heritage of Antarctica. We strive to educate people about this unique continent, its history, and the importance of conservation. By maintaining historic sites, offering engaging public programs, and collaborating with Antarctic policymakers, we aim to highlight the significance of Antarctica and its preservation for future generations.

As the Head of Engagement and Programming, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of projects and initiatives to connect audiences with Antarctica's captivating stories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing an ambitious annual program
  • Establishing partnerships to enhance program effectiveness
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Managing project budgets and partnerships
  • Supporting fundraising efforts
  • Overseeing program evaluation and performance measurement
  • Leading a team and ensuring high performance standards
  • Reporting to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees
  • Promoting the mission and reputation of the Trust

Location: Cambridge, UK
Salary: £44,000 per year (pro rata)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Holidays: 25 days per year of paid leave plus public holidays

Probationary Period: 6 months
Notice Period: 3 months
