Role Overview: As a SEND Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to students with a range of SEND requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students, enabling them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students with SEND, incorporating various teaching strategies and resources.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, Teaching Assistants, and external specialists to develop and implement personalised education plans (IEPs/EHCPs) for students with SEND.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
  • Utilise assessment data and feedback to monitor student progress, identify areas for development, and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and provide pastoral support to students, promoting positive social interactions and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with SEND, preferably in a similar educational setting.
  • Sound understanding of different SEND conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in relevant training and learning opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
