The Job:

Reporting to the Group Product Manager, this position will work within a diverse team of sales representatives, medical education trainers and laboratory employees. The role will be responsible for all aspects of UK Product Management for the Arthroplasty portfolio.

The focus will be on achieving the budget for the Arthroplasty portfolio, delivering a clear strategy for portfolio to the UK sales force, leading product launches of innovative technology portfolio, supporting sales force training, and managing the supply chain.

Please note this position is remote but will require regular travel to our Medical Education centre in Solihull.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Brand strategy: Lead portfolio strategy in line with global T strategy for the UK market with focus on flagship and strategic accounts and partnership sales.
  • KOL Management: Manage, develop and expand key UK KOL surgeon relationships.
  • Supply Chain: Operational responsibilities for portfolio include leading forecasting, new product introductions, backorder management, DLS, consignments, complaints and workshop.
  • Surgeon Education: Manage and develop Arthrex UK Medical Education with Med Ed team at Innovation Point & 3rd party events programme for portfolio.
  • Staff training: Deliver product and sales training to Arthroplasty specialists and wider salesforce in combination with Med Ed team.
  • Marketing: Develop marketing material for UK customers including newsletters, e-shots and social media campaigns to support both product launches and promotion.
  • Research: Drive relevant portfolio research projects to deliver scientific data for sales and ODEP. Collaborate with the research department for ODEP ratings.

Specific requirements:

  • Product champion: Inspires internally and externally to build trusting relationships
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of orthopaedic market segment dynamics and ideally portfolio segment. Research/Science background beneficial.
  • Communication: Ability to deliver clear and crisp messaging to salesforce and surgeons
  • Motivation: Can work both independently and within a team environment
  • Organisation: Ability to prioritise what is important and to manage time appropriately
  • Planning: Ability/experience to plan for key events, marketing campaigns and product launches

Education and Professional Experience:

  • Ideally degree educated. Relevant fields like medical, anatomy, sciences, sports science or physiotherapy beneficial.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Orthopaedic medical sales.
  • Experience of shoulder arthroplasty highly beneficial.
  • Experience of Product Management and/or marketing qualification highly beneficial.

Working Arrangements:

Please note that this is a Full-time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Flexibility is essential as the post holder will be required to work 90-95% nationally and 5 -10% internationally.

Compensation and Benefits:

25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays, Contributory Pension scheme, medical cash back plan, Group income protection and Life Assurance.
