The Job will be based working on incidents that come in to the control room which have markers for mental health issues.

You will review these jobs, advice and if needed deploy to them.

You will assess these people where they are in the community and divert them to appropriate services along the crisis pathways and other mental health teams pending on their needs.


You will be expected to complete assessment's and risk assessments and at times you will be required to complete safety plans for people known to services i.e regular service users.


You will be expected to attend incidents with officers in an emergency and be able to advice and divert accordingly.


The service is to ensure anyone with MH issues receives the right care at the time they are in crisis.

It is to divert people to appropriate services and allow police to leave the scene and get on with their day to day job.

It is also to ensure that the number of section 136 detentions are appropriate.
