Credit Controllers have a very important part to play within the company, supporting the network of current branches and new branches, due to the continual growth of the business.
As a Credit Controller, you must have a good level of education, be computerliterate with the ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Take ownership of collection for a specific section of the accounts receivable ledger as part of the credit control team.
- Uses initiative and skill to achieve targeted results, while promoting customer relationships.
- Responsibilities includes cash postings, allocations and reconciliation of accounts, as required.
- Maintains accurate and up to date customer details, and account records.
- Work with a minimum of supervision
- Liaise closely with Branch Managers and other members of staff, in regards to the setting and reviewing of credit limits.
- Minimum of 3 hours each day making outbound customer call, collecting outstanding due debts.
- A target of 30 calls daily.
- Work under the direction of and reports to the Credit Control Manager.
- Navigate disputes with branch managers, negotiate resolutions, bringing any important matters to the attention of the Credit Control Manager.
- With Credit manager's approval, negotiate payment plans with our customers and monitor compliance.
- Implement legal proceedings when required, by liaising with external debt collection agency
- Provide regular reports relating to cash collection and other KPI's to the Credit Control Manager as instructed
- Best endeavours to meet cash and other targets set by the Credit Control Manager.
- Prepare adhoc reporting as and when required.
- Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Credit Control Manager or Financial Controller.
This role could be a temp to perm position.
