Within Family Support, Children's Services, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our teams as demand grows and are seeking to recruit 4 full time permanent Family Support Practitioners for our team in based at Priory House in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Family Support is a preventative service operating at the edge of our more intensive and statutory services.

Our Family Practitioners manage a caseload of children and young people and their families with complex needs, whose situations without targeted intervention would escalate to become acute, chronic and result in the child/young person and their family requiring social care or other statutory intervention.


There is a strong emphasis on partnership working across all agencies, and Family Practitioners undertake direct work with families in the community to bring about long-lasting social change.


In this role, you will undertake direct work with children and their families, working within statutory legislation and delivering interventions prioritised by the line manager.

You will have shared accountability with other team members for achieving required team performance targets and the benefits there are from Group Supervision or Joint Agency Supervision to support that shared responsibility and group thinking to supporting children, young people and their families.


Within Norfolk, we are very passionate about development and progression and there are multiple opportunities such as secondments, apprenticeships and a variety of training courses to support this, along with the supportive ethos from managers and seniors within the teams.
