We are working in partnership with a global food manufacturer who are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team at their site in Bedfordshire.

The role:


Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Transport Coordinator will work with the team to assist with the businesses transport requirements including dealing with multiple hauliers and freight forwarders to provide solutions.


  • Accountability for the daily transaction of transport globally
  • Organise collections from the businesses UK and European sites using 3PL
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made correctly with documentation and on time
  • Weekly reconciliation for invoicing
  • Identify opportunities for improved service and / or cost saving
  • Problem solving, identifying and mitigating future issues
  • Ensuing all data is accurately documented
  • Achievement of the businesses service levels


Our client is looking for a pro-active and motivated individual who can work well in a fast moving and busy environment.


  • A minimum is 1 years experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Be confident and proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent numerical, communication and organisation skills
  • Previous experience with multi transport operations and carrier management is desirable
