Our client is working closely with National Highways and needs a Programme Manager to take ownership of this part of the programme.
They are looking for someone to perform programme assurance and ensure process are followed correctly for a Tier 1 programme delivering a telecommunications service.
Experience working in a DfT Tier 1 programme (or equivalent) and an understanding of how National Highways works are essential to this role to act as a critical friend to the programme team.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities- Ensure project management is set up to function as a Tier 1 programme.
- Assure the existing project management processes and products to ensure alignment with Tier 1 best practice.
- Identify gaps and make recommendations to address either from this role or utilising existing resources on the project or additional resource where this is not possible.
- Undertake an assessment of the existing project plan to develop fully resourced project plan with work break down structures and identify resource gaps and efficiencies.
- Work with project team to mature governance and structure of the project (including roles and responsibilities, Terms of Reference and forward resource requirements).
- Work with project team to mature risk, issue and dependency management (including RAID and a defined risk management escalation path).
- Define/advise on setting up the processes to manage and record key project information and decision-making.
- Experience of DfT Tier 1 programmes – essential.
- Risk Management – essential.
