Greater Manchester, United Kingdom Autism Initiatives Full time

Support Worker Waking Nights
35 Hours per week

£20,765 per annum pro rata (based on a 39 hour working week)

Ashton-Under-Lyne (OL6)

We are looking for resilient and friendly Support Workers to join a team that works in partnership with people who use our services, to enable them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community.

As a Support Worker you will encourage the health and well-being of the people that you support, through enabling them to be involved in a range of activities chosen by the person supported.

At Autism Initiatives we work alongside people with autism, providing specialist services tailored to each individual.

Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion for providing person centred support as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.

Due to the nature of the Support Worker Waking Night role, the interaction is mainly within the hours of 10pm to midnight.

In which you will be required to participate in the written plan for the next day. Examples of this include trips to local shops/amenities and trips to London, using public transport (such as train/coach).

The job role will also involve maintaining general health & safety of the flat and promoting the welfare of the person supported throughout the night.

Living with Covid, we continue to prioritise the safety of our employees and people we support.

We provide appropriate PPE and support for vaccinations as part of our Infection Prevention Control Risk Assessments to reduce the risk of infection.

**We are committed to equal opportunities in employment and in service delivery.
